Everyone wants to lose a few pounds, but those first few or last few pounds (and stubborn inches that come with them) can be a real nuisance. Trouble areas include the thighs, buttocks and tummies, and are often an issue for both women and men.
Because fat becomes water soluble at 44 celsius, subcutaneous fat can be released along with sweat and toxins.
If your metabolism is functioning at full capacity, weightloss becomes relatively easy. If it's not, however -- which is the case for most -- losing even a single pound can become seemingly impossible.

You might be thinking to yourself, “I got this, I produce a ton of perspiration while I’m exercising,” and that’s a valid point… but it’s what the sweat is made of that matters. The sweat normally produced by exercise is approximately, 95%-97% water.
On the other hand, the sweat produced while immersed in infrared heat is from 80-85% water (Cornbleet). The non-water portion that remains after spending time in IR immersion is principally cholesterol, fat (Broer), toxic heavy metals, soluble toxins, sulfuric acid, ammonia, sodium, and uric acid (Günzler & Gremlich). This means that integrating infrared sessions with your workout routine can be extremely effective. In addition, the sweat produced during an infrared session can contain up to 20% dissolved solids versus 3-5% from normal sweat (Widmaier, Raff, Strang & Vander).
Hence the reason that infrared is so effective in assisting the body with detoxification and weight loss.
TURN ON THE HEAT
Benefits of infrared
Infrared saunas help your body release a number of toxins, including heavy metals like mercury and lead, and environmental chemicals. The benefits don’t stop there. With infrared sauna technology, you can also lose weight, relax, relieve unwanted pain, increase your circulation, and purify your skin.
Benefits of Infrared Sauna Therapy
Sweating is one of the body’s most natural ways to eliminate toxins, making it a crucial part of detoxification. When compared to traditional Swedish saunas, infrared saunas allow you to eliminate about seven times more toxins.
Sweat produced with infrared can contains as much as 20% toxins! That is in comparison to only 3%-5% toxins that are contained in normal sweat.
Infrared sauna therapy promotes relaxation by helping to balance your body’s level of cortisol, your body’s primary stress hormone. The heat generated by the sauna will also help to relax muscles and relieve tension throughout the body, allowing you to relax and de-stress.
3. Pain Relief
Instant Gratification! Studies show that after the first session of infrared therapy, chronic pain patients have experienced nearly a 70% reduction in pain.
If you suffer from muscle aches or joint pain, infrared saunas can relieve this form of inflammation by increasing circulation and relaxing your muscles.
4. Weight Loss
The heat generated by an infrared sauna will cause your core temperature to increase, which can also lead to an increased heart rate — the same increase in heart rate that you experience when exercising. When your body has to work harder to lower your core temperature or keep up with an increased heart rate, your body will burn more calories, resulting in weight loss.
Infrared can rebalance and increase your metabolism which helps with weight loss both during and after an infrared session.
5. Improved Circulation
As the heat from infrared saunas increases your core body temperature, your circulation will increase along with it. Consistent infrared sauna sessions, especially in the middle-infrared level, can stimulate blood flow, improve muscle recovery, and decrease pain and inflammation after intense exercise.
6. Skin Purification
Infrared sauna technology can help purify your skin by eliminating toxins from your pores and increasing circulation, resulting in clearer, softer, and healthier-looking skin.
Infrared can also be helpful with a variety of aging factors such as wrinkling, uneven skin pigmentation, and the loss of skin elasticity.
Fat becomes water-soluble at a body temperature of approximately 100.5 degrees F and can “melt” by breaking up into smaller particles, which can then be purged from the body through infrared induced sweating. (Yamazaki)
Infrared can help the appearance of cellulite do to its ability to help rebuild collagen connective tissue. Stronger collagen can help rearrange the fat deposits away from each other and the skin’s surface, and help prevent further accumulation of cellulite.
Warmer is better
A low body temperature has been shown to contribute to many health problems, such as:
fatigue, headaches, migraines, PMS, easy weight gain, depression, irritability, fluid retention, anxiety and panic attacks, hair loss, poor memory, poor concentration, low sex drive, unhealthy nails, dry skin and hair, cold intolerance, heat intolerance, low motivation, low ambition, insomnia, allergies, acne, carpal tunnel syndrome, asthma, odd swallowing sensations, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, muscle and joint aches, slow healing, sweating abnormalities, Raynaud's Phenomenon, itchiness, irregular periods, easy bruising, ringing of the ears, flushing, bad breath, dry eyes/blurred vision, and more.
Infrared rays can increase blood circulation to rejuvenate healthy cellular functioning. Cells get a chance to flush out toxins and wastes and replace them with fresh oxygen and nutrients from the blood stream.
Prior to your treatment
Do not eat 1-hour before treatment.
Drink at least 8 to 16oz of water before the treatment.
When you come in we do a dry body brush, this promotes toxin elimination and stimulates the lymphatic system. This is a detoxifying treatment that exfoliates, tones and promotes circulation. The body brush is a gift for you to take home.
A cream is then applied to the body to help promote more sweat. The cream acts as a blanket on the skin, causing heat to be trapped, allowing you to sweat more and burn more inches.
We then help you into a disposable plastic suit and cover you underneath the infrared fitness blanket.
You will be relaxing for an hour while listening to soothing music.
The technician will periodically check in on you. About 45 minutes into your treatment the technician will come in and apply a cool wet towel and wipe any sweat off your face.
After your treatment you will take a shower, and then come drink some electrolyte water, or some coconut water.
